Remains of Tomorrow
90x120cm
2026

Remains of Tomorrow explores the tension between cultural icons and the passage of time. The familiar figure appears fragmented and worn, transformed into a silent relic rather than an object of nostalgia.

Through a restrained palette and layered surfaces, the work reflects on how collective symbols persist, fade, and resurface across generations. What once represented optimism and permanence is recontextualized as an artifact of a future already in decline.

The painting invites viewers to consider memory not as something preserved, but as something continuously reshaped by time.

DREIMAL DREI

Interstellar
100x100cm
2025

On a background of coffee, a living, almost random structure of spots and gradients reminiscent of distant galaxies and cosmic landscapes unfolds.
In this abstract setting, Donald does not appear as a classic comic book character, but as a kind of astronaut,
a traveler through unknown worlds,
who connects childhood memories with the vastness of the universe.
The figure itself is drawn with charcoal, oil and pastel pencils, which makes it look three-dimensional and raw at the same time. Here, coffee not only functions as a colour carrier, but also as a symbol: everyday life becomes art, the ephemeral is captured and transformed into a cosmic, almost infinite dimension

Bear Necessities
160x160cm
2024

In this work, Moira Musio captures a moment of fragile closeness. The bear and the butterfly appear suspended in a quiet exchange, where movement is replaced by attention and restraint.

The soft, earth-toned surface enhances the sense of vulnerability, allowing the encounter to feel intimate rather than symbolic.

The background was created using coffee, and while still wet, subtle traces were left by four dogs crossing the surface. These marks remain as quiet, unplanned imprints of presence, adding a layer of lived time to the work.

The painting holds space for gentleness, suggesting that connection does not always require action, only presence.
